I had almost no discomfort post-op. I was playing softball 4 days after surgery. The experience I had was complete different than anyone else’s that I know that has had a vasectomy. They all experienced nearly 2 weeks of pain and discomfort post-op. I had surgery on a Friday and went back to work on Monday without any issues at all.

Even if there was some uncomfortable pressure he would stop, use some numbing spray, and go back about the procedure. The procedure itself was virtually painless aside from a mild, sharp twinge of pain at one point. The doctor stopped and made sure I was not in pain and comfortable before proceeding. After my vasectomy I was in a moderate amount of pain for the first day or two. Ice and ibuprofen really helped with that. All in all I would recommend.

The process is very forward thinking, not offering an option for anxiety medication or nitrous oxide for procedure is out of place with the rest of the process. I wish I had undergone the procedure several years earlier. I had postponed for years due to fear. The procedure itself was completely painless. I kept waiting for the pain to arrive after the anesthesia were off but it never did. My recovery was exactly as outlined on the website. No pain whatsoever. Sexual function is exactly as before. Erections are the same, orgasm intensity and sensation the same, ejacualtion volume and consistency the same, etc. I can't tell any difference whatsoever pre and post procedure. Very much looking forward to ditching condoms very soon.

I don't know if my testes are abnormally sensitive, but as the doctor moved them around to perform the procedure it felt as if he was crushing them. My right took two weeks to stop hurting & my left took three weeks. I followed Post care quite carefully, but since I was wincing in pain & trying to hold back tears to a minimum while the procedure was being done, it made me wonder if he could have been more gentle. The anesthetic worked fine, it wasn't acute nerve pain it was dull aching like I had been hit/kicked in the groin that persisted for a few weeks.

My only real issue was when the doctor, who knew I was very nervous about the procedure, told me we were halfway done like it was a good thing. I thought we were approaching done, and the halfway comment made me more nervous and tense. This caused the second half of the procedure to be way more difficult for me, and I think Dr. Snyder too. Still a great doctor and would highly recommend. Thanks!

The mental anguish was by far the worst part. The pain didn't live up to my fears whatsoever, thanks to Dr. Snyder's methods. Doc was solid and was a fun conversationalist while performing the procedure, yet he maintained complete professionalism throughout. Dr. Snyder and his office did a great job with my care. First scheduling was easy and his office updated me on my insurance once when I scheduled and again before the procedure after several months had passed due to my need to put it off for a little while for some other health issue. Dr. Snyder was professional and efficient. The procedure was largely pain free. He was very good at keeping a conversation while he worked to help keep my nerves down. The procedure was very quick. After the procedure, I did not even need to take pain relief medication. I later did take a little after I overdid it but that was on me. Dr. Snyder followed up with me after the procedure via text and I had his cell phone number from the start. I am about one month out from the procedure and totally pain free and functional. I would say I was feeling back to normal within about a week. The office was clean and professional. Modesty was certainly respected and only I and Dr. Snyder were there when the procedure was being done. All the instructions were clear. I still have to submit a sample in about a month so I can not speak to that part yet. However, everything has been great and I would recommend Dr. Snyder and his team.

I think that the number one difficulty to the procedure was most entirely mental about pain and as well truly being done with making babies. The most uncomfortable part was shaving yourself and the after effects of doing so. Once you get past “thinking about it,” the procedure was simple and literally I was in and out the door in 20 minutes. There was no pain at all. I also did not bring my wife along and again would not do so as no need for that drama. Dr. Snyder was totally professional. Just follow his directions for the following week to wear the supporter and be careful with physical activity during the following week. I mowed my yard four days later and I should have waited a week as I felt a little sore afterwards. A month later and everything feels normal like nothing happened. I should have done this earlier...

This is the place to go. I've heard all kinds of horror stories about vasectomies as well as the recovery process afterwards. This was a cake walk. I went shopping the afternoon of the procedure, went to a teeball game that evening, and back to my construction job the next morning. No ice, no frozen peas, no 3 days in a recliner. Granted Dr. Snyder will certainly advise you against this level of activity. This was just my personal experience...yes I rushed back into life...yes I had some discomfort as a result, but it was tolerable, and I never experienced any swelling and had very little discomfort after a few days. Dr. Snyder is the only place I'd refer someone to. His procedure is awesome for recovery.

I would advise anyone considering the procedure to do their research, watch the video on the website and understand the process of the procedure. The video answers a lot of questions you may have. As indicated, especially in the post procedure instructions, as the opening heels back together, you may notice a small/slight "bump". I would consider this to be the normal healing process and when completely healed, this small "bump" may still be there, but should be relatively unnoticeable. I would consider this to be typical for any tissue healing back together. Just remember to keep the site clean and disinfected and once it is completely healed closed, any mild discomfort experienced should basically be completely gone at that point.

Easy to schedule, office was clean, and staff nice. The doc spent all of 10 minutes before and during the procedure so that left something to be desired. The procedure hurt... more than I thought it would. The recovery hurt too but once I got non-expired ibuprofen (took me a week to realize my mistake) I began improving right away and within a week I was better. Dr Snyder was amazingly professional, helpful, (I got faint after the operation) and communicative (talking me through the operation and then good at responding to my pain-problem via text even though he was headed out on vacation). He was encouraging, knowledgeable, and in the end, right about my symptom (pain) and how to fix it (ibuprofen) and how long it would take to fix (a week). I would never want to go through this again but if I had to, I would choose Dr Snyder again. He was great.

I decided to have the procedure during a long trip to the US, having my traveler's insurance as my only health insurance. Differently from my early attempts to schedule the procedure with hospitals which require an enormous amount of paperwork, hence making it more expensive to process it, the procedure with Dr. Snyder was easy to schedule and easy to pay with cash directly at the front desk. The recovery was great, I followed all the instructions provided, and it feels like the procedure never ever happened. I totally recommend the procedure at No Stork with Dr. Snyder! Don't be afraid guys, it's a great excuse to sprawled on the couch over the weekend! - On a note: I still need to send my post-procedure sample in.

Walking into the office, I would say that I finally understand how my dog felt being walked into the vet clinic on that fateful day. The office staff greeted me promptly and we even exchanged a few laughs and jokes about what was to come. This instantly made me feel better.
Dr. Snyder came in and started the procedure. I was very comfortable during the procedure, and again exchanged laughs to lighten to mood about a horrible Aprils Fools Day prank (as it was April 1st). Dr. Snyder was very professional and informative; and the procedure was a lot quicker than I had anticipated. Heading home, I made sure I read through the post op procedures (to keep my mind off of things, as I had already read it a few times) and then followed these to a T. I took it easy over the weekend, with minimal strain and unnecessary movement was kept to a minimum. After the first full day, the discomfort was almost completely gone. I continued to take it easy throughout the weekend, and returned to work on Monday with no discomfort.
I was pulled in by website "nostork.com" as this appealed to my sense of humor, but the process and staff will be what allows me to confidently refer this office to anyone interested in getting this procedure done.

Couldn't be happier with the whole experience. It was quick and painless. I was literally in and out in 25 minutes. Dr. Snyder was incredibly personable and made things very comfortable.

An excellent Doctor!!! I'm not sure why anyone would ever complete a vasectomy any other way. I was scheduled for the procedure a week and a day after being registered. Office was clean and professional looking and we were there literally 45 mins. Definitely recommend!
