Schedualing the procedure was super easy, almost too easy. Dr Patel does know his stuff and did a fantastic job. The procedure was painless, as was the recovery. I kept waiting to be sore, and never was. At most it felt like I pulled my groin slightly immediately following the procedure but that was it. I thought I was going to need to ice and take pain killers. I didn't use either. There was no swelling or bruising either.
As for post procedure care, I was expecting some follow up contact to see how things were going, but there wasn't any. There also wasn't any need for it.
If you are reading this trying to decide whether or not to go to Dr Patel, I have to say he was my second choice, and should have been my first. My first was local and I feel sorry for anyone to goes to him for this procedure. Dr Patel was professional, fast, and painless.

Dr. Chirag is great. Leading up to, the procedure Itself, and aftercare/recovery all exceeded my expectations. The procedure is so easy, I (jokingly) said to my wife I thought Dr. Chirag just said he completed the procedure and billed me for it without actually doing anything. By a few days after I had some bruising that indicated I did in fact undergo the procedure. Dr. Chirag is either a wizard, or he’s just a highly skilled expert at what he does. I super highly recommend him.

I STRONGLY feel as if the after care and recovery was very down played by most people I had asked about the procedure. I also felt the physician didn’t necessarily “drive it home” given my profession of firefighter. I returned to work too early and had to return back to rest. He did however text me and ask how recovery was going a couple of days after the procedure, which I thought was cool. I do recommend him to anyone getting the procedure. But having been through it, absolutely without a doubt take two weeks off any kind of physical labor, and listen to your body. I feel more emphasis could have been made here, for me at least given my profession. The instructional sheet for recovery isn’t necessarily “bad”, but may not be accurate for everyone. And dudes... please stop down playing this to your friends. Be honest, it is a big deal and recovery takes time. Not 2 or 3 days or up to 5 days, try 2 weeks, period.

I had my vasectomy done in early September 2019 and waited until the 90-day post operation time to write a review. I’m nothing short of in awe of Dr Patel. In my former profession in the early 1990s’ I performed vasectomies and I will say Dr Patel’s demeanor, bedside manner, patience with questions and humor make him as one of the best doctors I’ve met.
From the initial phone consult and my concerns with a previous double inguinal hernia repair possibly causing complications, operation day and a follow up personal text the next day to see how I was doing; he was amazing. He acknowledged my concerns and explained exactly how he intended to proceed. I was sold and on operation day I had zero concerns.
I’m a test pilot and within three days I was hovering a helicopter and never felt any pain. This is a leg and lower body task and a helicopter with its vibrations could cause some serious discomfort in a surgery on the genitals. No pain. I’m a runner as well and on the seventh day post-op, I ran four miles. No pain.
I give my personal background and lifestyle and an example to those who fear possibly limiting their work or activities for several days because vasectomies traditionally resulted in days on the couch with a bag of frozen peas between one’s legs. The “no scalpel” method is a game-changer in healing and recovery time and I’m here to say Dr Patel is the doctor you want to perform your surgery.

Being in the medical field, I'm no stranger to surgical procedures. This felt more like a dental cleaning than a "surgical procedure". I came in, sat down in a dental type chair dropped trou. 15 minutes of shooting the breeze and it was done. No pain, and no stress. Really no pain! Absolutely blown away at how easy it was. If you’re gonna get this procedure done, Dr. Patel is the way to go. The entire staff was VERY friendly and comforting. I wasn’t at all nervous nor did anyone make me want to feel nervous. We had a small chat, and before I knew the procedure was complete. He offered to let me play his Nintendo switch during the procedure, I accepted the offer. He even let my kid play afterwards. From the first time we spoke I knew this was the Dr. to do the job. I even recommended him to my brother-in-law. I have 3 other brother-in-laws who have had this done and they all acted like it was so painful and things don’t feel the same. As for me and even my brother in law who had Dr. Patel, very little pain for maybe a day or 2 and everything feels like it was never done. I recommend Dr Patel to everyone. He’s legit!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience on a procedure where it’s hard to get a good sense from others on what to expect. Based on my friends’ experiences there was a wide array of stories. My procedure and recovery went better than any stories I heard.
